Father's Day Train Rides

Surprise dad this Father's Day with the unforgettable experience of a train ride on one of Morris County's historic railroads. Step back in time at the nonprofit Whippany Railway Museum, where a larger-than-life train provides a 45-minute, round-trip ride.
On board this limited-time event, ttravel the route of The Whippanong Trail, where General Washington's armies trod in the bitter Winter of 1779, an area rich in the country's history.
The Museum's mid-1900's excursion train features a unique collection of restored vintage cabooses from historic rail lines that once served New Jersey and the Metropolitan area.
Passengers can combine the experience of riding the train along with touring the Museum site, which features an outstanding collection of historic railroad locomotives, rolling stock, and operating model train layouts.
For a slightly higher fare, upgrade your excursion experience by choosing to ride in one of the premium cars, the award-winning Lackawanna Railroad Subscription Club Car No. 2454 or select the Central Railroad of New Jersey club car Jersey Coast.
