The Night Sky Show
- see all dates
Except June 14, 2019, June 21, 2019, June 28, 2019, July 12, 2019.
The college's Digistar II planetarium projector recreates the ever-changing night sky, as it would look away from the city's lights. The 50-minute show is updated weekly with the latest news in space exploration and astronomy.
Families are welcome to ask all of their astronomy-related questions.
The Night Sky Show runs from 7pm-7:50pm. A second show is presented at 8pm; this is a more detailed program on a specific topic that varies by week. Check the online schedule to see the show planned for a specific date. A second ticket is required for the second show; there is a $1 discount when purchasing both together.
Shows are held in the John Drescher Planetarium, in Drescher Hall Room 223. Parking for the event is free anywhere on campus.
Check out our list of observatory and planetarium events around LA for more opportunities to observe the night sky.
