Dorothy, I don't think we're in Pasadena anymore!  The Lythgoe Family Productions latest panto production offers an off-the-wall spin on The Wizard of Oz.

Lythgoe Family Productions once again ushers in the holiday season with a British Panto-style production, this year The Wonderful Winter of Oz at the Pasadena Civic Center. Expect a wildly entertaining mix of family-friendly magic, comedic twists, and contemporary music and dance.

The all-star cast includes Tony Award-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray) as Glinda, Mackenzie Ziegler (Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, Dance Moms) as Dorothy,Jared Gertner (Broadway’s The Book of Mormon) as The Scarecrow, Phil LaMarr (“Mad TV”, Pulp Fiction) as The Tin Man, and Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer (Nickelodeon’s The Fresh Beat Band, “Cha Cha” on FOX’s Grease: Live!) as The Wicked Witch of the West. Rescue Dog Pickle C. Irwin plays Toto, and in perhaps the greatest casting coup this side of the Yellow Brick Road,  Kermit The Frog is the Wizard of Oz.

Prior to the show, audience members can enjoy Winter Wonderland, a free pre-show celebration featuring crafts, games, and photo opportunities.  Santa Claus visits on select days.

A limited number of Golden Tickets are available as an add-on to any child’s ticket for an additional $75 each. A Golden Ticket allows the ticket holder (children ages 4 - 12 only) a special on-stage experience during the production, as well as additional gifts.  Tickets can be purchased online.

A Lythgoe production of Beauty and the Beast plays at the Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach.
