Creepy Critters
- see all dates
Just in time for Halloween, kids can meet the creepy critters that call the Arboretum home. This fun educational program introduces the Arboretum's resident tarantula, scorpion, millipede, hissing cockroaches, and worms.
Participants learn about what makes these critters special, discover why people fear them, and gain a better understanding of and appreciation for these dynamic creatures we share the planet with.
There is an opportunity to touch some of the critters, with the guidance of the trained animal handler.
Kids can then craft “creepy critters” of their own using natural materials collected from the Arboretum grounds.
Adults accompanying a child are free. Price includes admission.
*Please arrive with ample time to find parking and walk to the program location within the gardens. Registration required. Space is limited.
