LA Works MLK Day of Service 2025
WILDFIRE UPDATE: "Many Angelenos outside the immediate fire zones are looking for ways to help those impacted. In light of the devastating wildfires, we are adjusting the event’s activities to support recovery initiatives and help affected individuals and families. Some activities that will now be supporting displaced families include, but are not limited to, blanket making, assembling meal kits, and assembling hygiene kits."
The spirit of Martin Luther King's dream of lives on! LA Works holds a Day of Service Volunteer Festival in honor of MLK Day.
Held at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the event features family friendly hands-on activities tackling health equity, food insecurity, STEAM education, and more.
Participants can explore different areas at the festival, including:
- Impact Zones to create blankets, book bundles, job readiness notebooks, food packets, and more to be distributed to nonprofit partners serving vulnerable Angelenos throughout LA
- Family Zone for kid friendly volunteer activities
- MLK Legacy Project to create installations for schools and nonprofits across LA
- Minecraft March on Washington video game truck to “meet” and learn about activists from the 1963 march to today
The event also includes special guest speakers and live performances. Food and drink available for purchase. Paid parking available on-site.
Everyone over the age of 2 must have a ticket to enter the festival; register online.
