27th Annual L.A. Cancer Challenge 5K Walk/Run
The 27th Annual L.A. Cancer Challenge 5K Walk/Run (LACC) is a Halloween-themed charity race hosted and produced by the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Walkers and runners hit the 5K course dressed in festive costumes or purple team T-shirts to show unity for finding a pancreatic cancer cure. (Costumes can be shown off again at the Kids Costume Parade & Adult Costume Contest, starting at 10:15am!)
The in-person event includes a free Fit Family Expo featuring a wide variety of vendors, Halloween festivities, activity tents, course entertainment and more. Kids of all ages can enjoy a magical and whimsical experience at the Candy Land Kids Zone, which features life-size candy decor, festive arts and crafts, and moonbounces as well as a giant donut wall for participants who cross the finish line.
Virtual participants are invited to personalize a local fundraiser from anywhere by rallying family, friends, and neighbors to walk or run the 5k throughout their community. Gear consisting of adult and youth T-shirts and finisher’s medal will be mailed, while running bibs are available to download and print from home.
