Peach pie, peaches and cream and peach salsa are just some of the delicious peach concoctions at the this peach of a festival at Terhune Orchards. The fair also features pony rides, games, music and barbeque fare. Local chefs will host a "Summer Harvest" tasting section for an additional fee.

New Jersey State Fair: Sussex County Farm & Horse Show (Augusta, NJ)
This jam-packed state fair is loaded with games, rides, food, entertainment , plus the Sussex County Horse Show. The fair runs through August 9th.

Tomato Festival (Robbinsville, NJ)
Celebrate the Garden State’s most famous fruit at Oasis Farm’s everything-tomato festival. Feast on tomato and grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato salads and all kinds of other treats. Kids will enjoy wagon rides, crafts and other farm activities. Admission is FREE.

Saturday, August 1st

Summer Shorebird Walk (Jersey City, NJ)
Take a scenic walk through Liberty State Park to explore summer shorebirds. There will be a limited number of binoculars to borrow, or bring your own. Pre-registration is required. FREE

Sail, Sail Your Boat (Chester, NJ)
Kids are invited to sail, sail, sail their boats gently in the tailrace. Boats can be borrowed for free or purchased. It is suggested to wear closed-toe shoes or boots. FREE

Your First Mud Run (Woodland Park, NJ)
Have fun getting muddy in this 1.5-2 mile run, designed for parents and kids 6+. Obstacle courses and a mudslide are part of the challenge, and medals and shirts will be awarded at the end.

Manasquan Fireman’s Fair (Manasquan, NJ)
Don’t miss the last night of this lively, annual fair that features rides, games, food, music and a super 50/50 raffle.

Sunday, August 2nd

Marvel Avengers: Hyde and Seek (Freehold, NJ)
Catch Captain America, Hulk and all your favorite heroes in a live action performance at iPlay America. There are two super performances on Sunday afternoon.
