LuminoCity has done it again with its spectacular new immersive light show, Dino Safari. Featuring life-size animatronic dinosaurs, themed rides, interactive experiences, and more, the mesmerizing walk-through display arrives at Bethesda’s Westfield Montgomery Mall on Thursday, July 4th–welcoming visitors of all ages through Sunday, August 4th.

Read on for a rundown of the epic family-friendly dinosaur adventure.

Dino Safari Attractions, Activities, and Rides

Dino Safari invites families into a prehistoric world, where more than 70 animated dinosaurs and ice age animal sculptures come to life with thousands of shimmering lights. From a glowing woolly mammoth to a towering 46-foot-tall t-rex, kids and adults are sure to be awed as they walk through the expansive–and incredibly Insta-worthy–outdoor display.

Beyond the illuminated creatures, kids can explore a dino-themed fun zone that’s packed with rides and games. Young visitors can go wild in the Jungle Explorer Playground or take a spin on the Dino Carousel, just to name a few attractions included with admissions. For an additional fee, children can hop around the Dino Bounce Castle, search for fossils and gems at the Safari Dig, climb aboard the Oviraptor Train for a memorable ride, and more.

Themed rides and games bring even more kid-friendly fun to the spectacular light festival.

On-Site Food and Gift Shop

Refuel with funnel cake, corn dogs, and french fries, or opt for packaged snacks and drinks sold on-site, including chips, cookies, muffins, juices, and sodas. Outside snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are also welcome–they just can’t be brought into the amusement activities.

For dino-themed toys and Lumi souvenirs (he’s the face of LuminoCity’s many light festivals), you can swing by the gift shop. Lumi items are also available online.
