CicLAvia - West Adams Meets University Park
CicLAvia holds its 58th open streets event in Los Angeles: West Adams meets University Park. The 4.1-mile route connects hubs at West Adams, Jefferson Park and University Park.
Participants can jog, ride, bike, skate, run, walk, skateboard, spectate, and play, and may show up anywhere along the route to enjoy the open streets and explore the Valley.
Hubs are walking zones (bike dismounts) and meeting points along the route with the West Adams Hub located near Jefferson and La Brea; the Jefferson Park Hub located near 7th and Jefferson; and the University Park Hub located near Vermont and Exposition. Hubs offer family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, free basic bike repair, bike parking, and first aid. Free pedicab rides are also available at each information booth.
The map reveals the full route; more information can be found on the event page.
CicLAvia is derived from a Spanish term for "bike path," and its goal is to turn LA into one big bike path, if just for a few hours. People are encouraged to leave their cars at home and bike, walk, skateboard, or push a stroller to discover our beautiful city at non-motorized speeds. CicLAvia offers a wide variety of activities for people of all interests and ages, including music, performances, food trucks galore, and more.
