CANCELED: Hermosa Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade
UPDATE: The Hermosa Beach Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is canceled.
"The City of Hermosa Beach and Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau today announced that they are canceling Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in response to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s and public health experts’ recommendations to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) by canceling large public gatherings. "
The 26th annual Hermosa Beach Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is celebrated by bagpipers from the Emerald Society, floats, horses, and four-legged friends from the Irish Setters Club of Southern California.
The parade begins at the staging area near City Hall on Valley Drive, makes a left onto Pier Avenue, and ends at the corner of Hermosa Avenue and 10th Street.
The annual parade draws about 20,000 spectators.
