BBMT Marquee Open House
This is your sign: Bob Baker Marionette Theater is here to stay!
The restoration of the neon marquee at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater is complete. In honor of its restoration, BBMT opens its doors to celebrate with the whole community.
The celebration includes art activities, puppet meet and greets, food pop-ups and more. Guests can step into the Theater, to witness the progress in restoring, preserving, and updating the beautiful building
Guests may drop in anytime between 10 am to 2 pm to celebrate.
Bring clothing for live airbrushing, or purchase shirts on site. Other fun includes face painting, caricatures, Megan the Bubbleologist, silent super 8 films with live musical accompaniment, vintage clothing and food pop-ups, information about the marquee and the Historic Highland Park neighborhood, photo ops, DJ sets and more.
And of course, marionettes! The puppets stroll around, say hello, and pose for photos.
RSVP to let them know you are coming. There is a suggested donation of $10 to help support community programming at this nonprofit theater.
