Chinese New Year Celebration & Boston Lion Parade
Chinatown celebrates the Year of the Tiger with parades throughout the day, including the famous Lion Parade, great food, and other special activities.
The Lion Dance parade kicks off at the main stage in Philips Square (corner of Harrison Ave and Beach Street), continues on Essex Street, and winds its way down Chinatown's streets. Performers entertain visitors throughout the neighborhood all afternoon, weather permitting.
Note that most of Chinatown is only open to pedestrian traffic during the Chinese New Year celebration and parade.
