Little Amal, a giant puppet representing Syrian children and refugees everywhere, take an early morning stroll along the Coney Island Boardwalk, the heads to the Brooklyn Public Library for Drag Queen Storytime and a reading of Julián Is a Mermaid, by Jessica Love.

Then she explores downtown Brooklyn before heading over to BAM, where Syrian-American hip-hop artist and peace activist Omar Offendum sings to Amal songs of hope and hardship.
