Good Deeds & Dunes Day at Walnut Beach
PJ Library, along with the Town of Milford and Little Scientists, have teamed up to invite families to be active participants in saving our shorelines. Join the fun and instill the value of taking care of our earth by planting native coastal plants on Walnut Beach! Little Scientist's founder Dr. Heidi will also offer young children the chance to explore marine life on Long Island Sound.
Bring hats, water shoes and dig, learn & help us plant seeds to protect the beaches & wildlife. All ages welcome!
There is no charge for this event, but a suggested donation of $5 is greatly appreciated. Free parking and shuttles available meeting at 2:15 & 2:45PM at Silver Sands State Park Beach parking lot.
Non-Milford residents are welcome to park at Walnut Beach street meters at $2.50/hr. You may also park in the beach parking lot for $20/day. Please arrive early as space will be limited due to a 4 p.m. concert.
