In this free workshop held at First African Baptist Church, students learn about databases which contain information such as school grades, Yelp’s list of local pizza shops, and music downloads.

Databases contain tons of information. Finding the exact information you need can be like finding a needle in a haystack. 

Students see what a large database looks like, how it is structured, and more importantly, how to get the database to answer questions! The lesson are hands-on and focus on standard SQL statements that can be used with any database software.
