During Winter Recess for New York City public schools, the museum will offer family programs, including big-screen showings of Pokémon Detective Pikachu  accompanied by drop-in mediamaking in the Moving Image Studio.

Drop-in Activties:
This winter recess kids can try their hand at live stop-motion animation (also known as pixilation), and learn how use their bodies to animate films. The Studio will also feature Lego animation, green screen, and coding. Free with Museum admission. No reservations necessary. All ages.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu Screenings (ages 8+):

In the first live-action Pokémon movie, a teenage boy teams up with a strange Pikachu to investigate the disappearance of his father.
