Grand Ave Arts: All Access
Grand Avenue Arts: All Access showcases major cultural institutions in DTLA. The free one-day event features performances, exhibitions, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive family-friendly activities.
The festival invites Angelenos of all ages to craft their own arts adventure while exploring DTLA’s cultural corridor to the fullest.
The event takes place at venues along Grand Ave. between Temple and Sixth. Participating institutions include The Broad, Center Theatre Group, Colburn School, Gloria Molina Grand Park, Grand Performances, LA Opera, Los Angeles Public Library, Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Master Chorale, Metro Art, MOCA, The Music Center and REDCAT.
The events are too numerous to list here, but a few highlights include:
- Spinning the prize wheel with the Center Theatre Group
- Instrument petting zoo and a sample creative dance class at Colburn Music Academy
- the opening day of the Día de los Muertos celebration at Gloria Molina Grand Park
- Creating a painting inspired by artist Jasper Johns at the Broad
- Young Artists Program Recitals at LA Opera
- Creating sugar skulls with the Children’s Literature Department at the Los Angeles Public Library
- Performances, art workshops and more as part of the Indigenous Peoples' Day Party at the Music Center.
Most locations have multiple activities. All events are free; reservations are not required. An online schedule has more details.
