Piñatas!
Saturday, May 8th, 3PM

Garden City
Learn the art of piñata making from the experts. Artists from the Hispanic Cultural Center will greet you and talk about the building process behind a piñata. Design and create your own to take home, but beware: it may be too nice to break open at your next fiesta! The program is geared to children 5 and older and costs $3 in addition to museum admission ($2 for LICM members).

Baby Animal Day

What better way to celebrate mother’s day weekend than visiting with the newest members of the farm – animal babies are here! Join in the fun with food, wagon rides and crafts. Admission is by donation and an all day wagon pass is $2. Call 631.852.4600 for additional information.

If you’re still hunting around for a great Mother’s Day out, perhaps Atlantis Marine World fits the bill. Dine at the aquarium and then explore it with the family afterward. History Alive!

While exploring what life was once like, you and your children can take several steps back in time. Try your hand at chores from the 19th Century like churning butter and carding wool. Have the youngsters play games that were popular during a simpler time in American history. The charge is $10 for adults, $7 for children 5-12.
