A Palo Seco: Flamenco
This family-friendly production features live dance and music in a vibrant and entertaining production full of color, rhythm, and emotions. Explanations and interactive exercises are intermixed with high-energy performance pieces, as well as plenty of audience participation.

INTERACTIVE DANCE WORKSHOP AT 7 PM
Led by Rebeca Tomás, Artistic Director of A Palo Seco, all-ages workshop teaches the basic techniques and skills of Flamenco music and dance, general body and rhythmic awareness, and the cultural and historic context of this Spanish art. The workshop culminates with a short dance combination.
FAMILY PERFORMANCE AT 8 PM
A vibrant and entertaining production full of color, rhythm, and high-energy performance pieces, as well as plenty of audience participation. Audience members of all ages learn about the history of Southern Spain, and will be taught how to play castanets and rhythmic hand-clapping. They are also led through Flamenco’s prototypical zapateo (footwork) and are invited to join the artists on stage to do a short dance number at the end.
