Poster House Fall Family Day
Poster House, the first museum in the United States dedicated to the global history of posters, offers free admission and family-friendly activities including raffles and drop-in art-making stations.
The schedule includes:
10am-11am: Poster Tots
Kids visit two posters from Poster House’s exhibition Fantastical Streets: The Theatrical Posters of Boris Bućan and learn about colors through a hands-on activity where each participant creates an open-ended, take-home art project using various colorful materials. This program is intended for children ages 2 and 3 (accompanied by their adults).
10am-12pm: Sticker Printmaking
Visit the Kids’ Gallery, located on the Lower Level of Poster House, and create your own collagraph prints using stickers and other collage materials!
10:30am-12pm: Poster Kids, Just Design It!
12:30pm-2pm: Bilingual Poster Kids, Just Design It!
Join Poster House for an exciting workshop activity inspired by Poster House’s exhibition Just Frame It: How Nike Turned Sports Stars Into Superheroes. Learn about branding and marketing through an interactive, family-friendly tour and related art-making experience. This program is designed for children ages 4 to 10 and will be presented in two sessions, one in English and one in Spanish.
12pm-2pm: Button Making
Families can stop by the Poster House Timeline, located in the 24th Street lobby, to make their own buttons inspired by previous exhibitions.
Free tickets can be reserved online in advance.
