Off the Wall Art for Tweens: Alternative Styles with Mixed Media
- see all dates
Discover non-traditional and unconventional media working in 2D or 3D art work. Explore recycled materials; magazines, colored papers, newspapers, recycled machine parts or toys, string, fabric, threads, plastics and add paint, pastels, and combine them with printed text or quotes and titles to create personal art highlighting your own personality.
All art supplies are included in the course, but participants are strongly encouraged to bring in items from home: this could be old photos or items you have a personal connection to, adding them to your pieces makes for a more personal touch. This is an adventurous class for artists who like to explore, more about the journey than the finished pieces. Perfect for the beginner or intermediate levels, or for advanced students looking for more inspiration or technique.
For Tweens ages 9-12 yrs
Time: Tuesdays 4:30pm-6:30pm
