El Segundo 4th of July Community Celebration
El Segundo's event includes daytime fun in the park, followed by an evening celebration.
The daytime celebration runs from 10am-3pm with classic family entertainment that in the past has included a hula hoop contest, water balloon toss, sack races, and food trucks, as well as pie and watermelon eating contests.
Evening events run from 5pm to 9pm, and include live music and food booths.
Wristbands are required for entry to Softball and Stevenson Fields during evening events, free for children 2 and under.
Wristband sales begin on June 1 through July 3 and can be purchased at the Clubhouse and Checkout Building in Recreation Park. El Segundo Residents can receive a maximum of 4 free wristbands per adult with an updated 2022 Rec ID Card. Wristband sales on July 4 are $5 for El Segundo Residents and guest, free for children 2 and under.
