Award-winning poet and master teacher Hope Anita Smith leads a poetry workshop for both budding and more experienced young poets.

The afternoon session is filled with word collecting, verse building, and solving the mysteries of meter.

Participants can create a short poem from scratch or work on a poem already in progress. This session can serve as an opportunity to practice for Children's Book World's upcoming poetry slams.
