Metro Art Presents a fall movie series featuring three unique animated films screening in Union Station’s historic Ticketing Hall. First up is the family adventure Song of the Sea (PG). Ben, a young Irish boy, and his little sister Saoirse, a girl who can turn into a seal, go on a quest to free the fairies and save the spirit world.
The Adventures of Prince Achmed screens on November 1. this 1924 animated shadow-puppet film uses a stop-motion technique inspired by the theatrical shadow-plays originating in ancient China, India and the Middle East.
Waking Life screens on November 15. This R-rated film tells the story of a man who is trying very hard to understand what separates dreams from reality.
The films are introduced by filmmaker and animator Lyndon Barrois, who has worked on films such as The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions and The Tree of Life.
