Fowler Families: Giant Kites of Guatemala

Fowler guests can explore the practice of making colorful giant kites (barriletes) and their significance during Día de los Muertos in Guatemala during this two-hour hands-on workshop.

After learning about the Day of the Dead celebration in Guatemala and other Central American countries, participants create large kites to fly on their own.

This free family program is produced in collaboration with the UCLA Latin American Institute. Advance registration is required. For ages 8 and up.

Parking available in UCLA Lot 4, 398 Westwood Plaza, directly off Sunset Blvd ($13 per day). Rideshare drop-off 305 Royce Drive.
