Dia de los Muertos Community Procession
The 2019 Dia de los Muertos Community Procession starts at the Cypress Park Branch Library and ends at the Los Angeles River Center & Gardens.
The procession starts at 6:30pm sharp. The route is 8/10ths of a mile in length. Participants should wear comfy shoes and bring a flashlight. Out of respect for the Día de los Muertos tradition, Halloween costumes are not allowed.
At the end of the procession, there is music, food, and refreshments for everyone, as well as the unveiling of grand altar/art installations. Resource tables introduce local organizations.
Participants are advised to park at the LA River Center; a shuttle is available from the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens (570 W Ave 26) to the Cypress Park Branch Library (1150 Cypress Ave).
