Kids who dream of mermaids can make their dreams come true, meeting a real one on the beach at Terranea Beach Cove. The fin-tastic experience offers little ones a chance for a photo in the sand with a Palos Verdes mermaid, along with ocean-themed cookies and temporary tattoos.

Up to two children are included in a 10-minute personal time slot; additional children can be added for $10 each. Reservations are required.

Families do not have to be guests at Terranea Resort to visit Terranea Beach Cove (one of our Hidden Gem SoCal Beaches), which has a secluded beach, a sea cave, tidepools, and rocks to climb before or after meeting the mermaid. Other activities at the resort that are available to day-trippers over the summer months include kayak rentals, archery lessons, and Friday/Saturday evening concerts.
