Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival

6 and up
Free, donations appreciated

What's past is prologue: past seasons of free Shakespeare in Griffith Park have set the  stage for this year's production of The Tempest.

Note that this year's production is held in a slightly different location within Griffith Park's Old Zoo, and reservations are required. The new location is still at the Old Zoo, just a little bit farther up the hill at the "charming, pastoral dell."  Parking is in the same location as previous years.

Reservations open up 7 days in advance of a performance date. A seating chart enables guests to decide between a grassy picnic spot, a hillside spot ,or a flat spot where low beach chairs are allowed. ADA seating is also available. Seating is extremely limited. Due to COVID seating restrictions, walk-ups may not be accommodated.

Parking is free and plentiful, but can be a little confusing. Check the website for directions.

Select dates have pre-show activities, details to come.
