All the world's a stage, including Griffith Park.

Free Shakespeare returns to Griffith Park for a full summer of theater under the stars. This year the festival puts on one show: As You Like It.

New this year: an immersive prologue in the hour before the performance where audience members can choose to interact with characters and explore the world of the play.

Also new this year, guests are being asked to register to attend, (don't worry, it's still free!)

As for location: the production is back at its regular spot at the Old LA Zoo Picnic Area, welcoming audiences back to the large, open, grassy lawn for performances all summer long. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The area closest to the stage is reserved for blankets only, while a little farther back, guests can bring low-seat beach chairs.

Guests can have a reserved seat waiting for them as a thank you for a $60 donation. Reserved seats are in a special elevated section with a great view of the stage.

Select dates have pre-show activities:

Be advised: although audience members of all ages are welcome and encouraged to come, Shakespeare’s plays all deal with the adult themes that invariably arise in human relationships, and include allusions to both sexuality and violence. This production contains no nudity nor graphic violence. It does however include shameless flirting, double entendres, and may make you want to get up and dance.
