Grab your robes and quidditch brooms, The Magical Universe of Harry Potter is coming to the Vanderbilt Museum’s Reichert Planetarium. This event sells out quickly.

This special event – set for Saturday, March 9, will explore the many astronomical references in J.K. Rowling’s seven Harry Potter books published between 1997 and 2007. Guests are encouraged to wear Harry Potter costumes.
 
The event will feature a live lecture by astronomer Charlie Eder. He will don a wizard’s hat and will explore the heavens above Hogwarts with participating Harry Potter fans. The audience will be divided into four Hogwarts “houses” and will compete to answer trivia questions. Prizes will be awarded.

SCHEDULE: Doors open at 6 p.m. and shows will begin at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before the show to enjoy all the surprises in the lobby, decorated to immerse you in the magic of Harry’s world.
