Join Seatuck on the beach at night to count horseshoe crabs with the aid of flashlights. This is a unique opportunity to participate in ongoing research on the local horseshoe crab population.

After a brief introduction to these ancient creatures, participants will head down to the water to conduct the survey. A flashlight or headlamp will be needed and be prepared to get your feet wet. Rain or shine. You must pre-register for this program due to permit restrictions. Arrive at least 15 minutes early.  You must visit to http://nyhorseshoecrab.org/NY_Horseshoe_Crab/Captree.html  and print and fill out the Risk Waiver Form and Volunteer Wavier for each person attending.
