Roll up your sleeves and chip in to help clear Fire Island’s shore of marine debris.    

Join the National Park Service and the New York Marine Rescue Center to help clear Fire Island’s shore of unsightly and harmful marine debris. Learn about the sources of marine debris and the impact it has on marine life; document the trash collected to help inform ocean policy and ensure the future health of the marine ecosystem. Bring work gloves if possible. Please park in the Smith Point County Park parking lot (there is no fee after 5 pm).
