CicLAvia - Heart of LA

CicLAvia revisits its Heart of LA route. The 7.5-mile route connects Boyle Heights, Chinatown, Downtown, Echo Park, and Little Tokyo.
Highlights along the way include the 6th Street Viaduct, Echo Park Lake, and the Historic Core of DTLA.
Participants can jog, ride, bike, skate, run, walk, skateboard, spectate, and play, and may show up anywhere along the route to enjoy the open streets and explore the ‘Heart of LA.’
- Echo Park (south side of Echo Park Lake on Bellevue Ave at Glendale Blvd)
- Chinatown (North Broadway near Chinatown’s historic Central Plaza)
- Little Tokyo (Central Ave between 1st and 2nd streets)
- Mariachi Plaza (1st St east of Boyle Ave)
- Evergreen (E Cesar Chavez Ave, west of Evergreen Ave)
Hubs are walking zones (bike dismounts) and meeting points along the route. Hubs offer family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, free basic bike repair, bike parking, and first aid. Free pedicab rides are also available at each information booth.
CicLAvia is derived from a Spanish term for "bike path," and its goal is to turn LA into one big bike path, if just for a few hours. People are encouraged to leave their cars at home and bike, walk, skateboard, or push a stroller to discover our beautiful city at non-motorized speeds. CicLAvia offers a wide variety of activities for people of all interests and ages, such as music, performances, food trucks galore, and more.
