Sakura Matsuri, the annual cherry blossom festival at BBG, offers over 60 events and performances that celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture. The festival marks the end of Hanami, the Japanese cultural tradition of enjoying each moment of the cherry blossom season.

Also for the first time, the BBG will keep extended evening hours for visitors to take advantage of peak bloom season with Garden After Hours on Tuesdays 6–8:30pm in April and May. After an evening stroll among the Garden’s vibrant daffodils, peonies, azaleas, and more, visitors can enjoy dinner, cocktails, and sunset views of Lily Pool Terrace at Yellow Magnolia Café. Tickets are $20.
