On select Tuesdays, the Science Center transforms into a magical playland where little ones ages 6 and under can explore a world of discovery with crowd-controlled spaces, hands-on activities, and special programming designed just for them. It’s a relaxed, fun-filled adventure perfect for learning and play at their own pace.

JUNE THEME: FUN IN THE SUN

Fun in the Sun is a day full of sunshine, creativity, and hands-on excitement for toddlers. They’ll start by crafting colorful UV bead bracelets in Make and Take Beads, then create sun-powered art with Solar Prints. Next, they’ll chase and pop bubbles in the plaza before diving into the Sensory Bin, building sandcastles with kinetic sand and shaving cream. The fun continues with Bear’s Shadow, where they’ll play with light and shadows, and wraps up with a fascinating science adventure exploring the magic of magnets. It’s a day of discovery, laughter, and sunshine-filled fun.

• Make and Take Beads: Toddlers create colorful bracelets with UV-activated beads, then step outside to watch their masterpieces change in the sunlight!
• Solar Prints: Little artists use the sun’s power to make unique prints by placing objects on special paper, turning light and shadows into creative magic.
• Bubbles on the Plaza: A bubbly adventure awaits as kids chase and pop giant, shimmering bubbles, filling the air with laughter and sunshine!
• Sensory Bins: Tiny hands dive into soft kinetic sand for castle-building fun and squish frothy shaving cream for a playful, beachy sensory experience.
• Bear’s Shadow: Toddlers explore how sunlight creates shadows, testing fun challenges that turn light and movement into magical discoveries.
• Exploring Magnets: Little scientists experiment with magnets, testing what sticks and moves in a hands-on exploration of magnetic magic!
