The Cape Ann Museum is celebrating the Scandanavian influences felt throughout the community today. Visitors will enjoy crafts and storytime.

In the 19th century, Gloucester's immigrants from Finland and Sweden came to Cape Ann to work in the quarries. They settled primarily in Gloucester’s Lanesville neighborhood and in Rockport becoming an integral part of the community and bringing with them cultural traditions from Scandinavia. 

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Free Art Activity Led by CAM Educators
11:00 am – 11:30 am: Storytime for Kids Ages 3+
