Franklin Park Turkey Trot
The Franklin Park Turkey Trot -- the largest Thanksgiving Day race in the City of Boston - is back for its 9th year on Thanksgiving morning. All ages and paces are welcome, along with strollers, wheelchairs, and race-ready leashed dogs. Great prizes for fast finishers and costumes.
The Franklin Park Coalition’s now-famous Turkey Trot started in 2013. After another record-breaking year, with more than 1,400 runners participating in 2019, it went virtual in 2020. But everyone is excited to be able to bring the Turkey Trot back to its origins in 2021 (with appropriate safety protocols in place). With runners and walkers coming primarily from the neighborhoods that border the park, including Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan, the Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day race in the area.
