Cape Cod Pirate Festival
- see all dates
The Pirates return to kick off the summer season in Yarmouth at the Fourth Annual Cape Cod Pirate Festival! The event will offer two swashbuckling weekends, with more entertainment, and more all-around piratical fun.
The event will feature multiple stages of pirate-themed entertainment, music, shanties, interactive pirate actors, games, rides, black powder demonstrations, and pirate-themed vendors. Participants will be invited to try knife and axe throwing, get a fantasy face painting, or enjoy a pint and watch the music and performers who will be on the stages and streets.
Games of skill and chance return, such as the Axe and Knife throwing walls, and other, new challenges await.
The festival welcomes back favorite performances such as the rollicking pirate band, The Plankwalkers, the ever-boisterous Crimson Pirates, as well as new entertainers such as the Foxy Bard.
The Yarmouth Minutemen Militia will return as their piratical alter-egos “Jeramiah’s Gunners” as they provide explosive live-fire demonstrations from flintlocks and even a canon. The “Rogue’s Armada”, a pirate reenactment troupe raising money for Feeding America, returns as well and will provide a host of interactive family entertainment and performances throughout the day.
The event will be held at the Yarmouth Fairgrounds (the old Yarmouth Drive-In) on Rte. 28. Gates open at 10:30 am and the event ends at 5:30 pm each day.
