Giant spiders, ghosts, and werewolves, oh my! Spooky season is back at Powisset Farm in Dover, with the annual tradition of Boo in the Barnyard returning on Friday, October 24. 

At this special Halloween event, children are encouraged to wear their costumes (great farm photo/Instagram opportunity!) and share their festive looks with the goats, sheep, rabbits, and pigs in the Powisset barnyard. Children can bring a bag to collect treats from barnyard friends, participate in a special Halloween craft, find the hidden pumpkins on a pumpkin scavenger hunt, play pumpkin bowling, and take a hayride!

Delicious food will be available for purchase, including Powisset’s popular farm-fresh wood-fired pizza, fresh-baked cookies, popcorn, and ice cream. A menu of local craft beer will also be available along with wine, apple cider, and non-alcoholic seltzers. Hot apple cider and cider donuts can be found in the Powisset Farm Store, which will be filled with fresh-baked goods, seasonal produce, pumpkins, apples, specialty foods, and fall-focused home goods.

Boo in the Barnyard is rain or shine and begins at 2:00PM, a perfect time to bring the youngest ghosts and goblins, before the older children arrive after school. The four-hour event ends at 6:00PM; attendees can come anytime and stay as long as they’d like. Preregistration is required. Children under 1 year old do not need a ticket. This is not a drop-off program. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
