This annual event features a parade, a River Ceremony with songs, stories, drumming and Earth floats, followed by an arts and environment festival.
This year's theme is "Embracing DIVERSITY in a Climate of Change.”
Annual Earth Day Parade, 10:30-11:30am: Main and Monument Streets from The Umbrella Community Arts Center to The Old Manse, with giant puppets, dancers, music, costumes, banners, groups and families.
River Ceremony, 11:30am - 12pm: Song, story, drumming, and launching Earth Floats at the water’s edge at The Old North Bridge of Minute Man National Historic Park
Arts & Environment Festival, 12-2pm: “Ecology of Sound,” interactive performance with Brazilian musician Ricardo Frota; “A Passion for Birds“ with naturalist Henry Lappen; “Birds of Prey” with Mass Audubon Drumlin Farm; PLUS local food, table exhibitors, and art activities. The Old Manse Lawn and Orchard.
