Kids are free with a paid adult admission. There are several other events daily including:

Space Explorers Family Story Time

10:30-11:30am • 7th Floor Pilgrim Observation Gallery
Enjoy a storytime followed by space-themed craft and coloring activities each day. Books include topics like the Apollo 11 space mission, the moon landing, and more. Open to children of all ages but designed especially for ages 3-8.

Space-Themed LEGO® building

10am-5 pm • LEGO® Exhibit (main level)
Stop by the LEGO® exhibit for a special space-themed building activity. The whole family can help build the Apollo 11 Lunar Lander, astronauts, and space shuttles out of LEGO® bricks. Due to small pieces, this activity is best for kids and teens ages 5 and up.

Free Stargazing with the National Air and Space Museum

8-10pm
Look through telescopes and see the wonders of the night sky. Join National Air and Space Museum staff on the north lawn of the Washington National Cathedral. Experienced observers will help visitors spot planets, stars, and the Moon. Telescopes will be provided by Smithsonian Institution.
