Chalk-A-Block (in Alexandria, VA)
Old Town North comes to life with chalk artists, local artists/makers showcasing their work, and opportunities for kids to join in and make chalk art of their own. A scavenger hunt with prizes and live music from Mars Rodeo, Yellow Door Jazz, The Frontier, Maddie Cantrell, Alex Alavi and more adds to the fun. Alexandria's Mobile Art Lab 2.0 sets up at the intersection of First St. & N. Fairfax St. to make rubbings of Old Town North's artist-designed stormwater covers.
Follow the Old Town North Tern's chalk footprints from site to site and complete the scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes.
Pick up a scavenger hunt form at any of the sites. Completed scavenger hunt forms should be turned in at Made in ALX - 533 Montgomery St.
Rain date is October 13, 2024.
