July 4th Community Picnic in the Park

Families can celebrate our nation's independence with a variety of historic fun at Valley Forge National Historical Park. Guests can expect artillery demonstrations, musket demonstrations, the reading of the Declaration of Independence, and storytelling benches.

This year's events may be organized differently due to the closure of the Visitors Center.

The tentative schedule of events is as follows:

Trolley Tours: 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM and 4 PM
Ranger-led Walks: 10:50 AM and 2:50 PM
Games, Crafts and Activities Mini Parade: 11 AM - 3 PM
Storytelling Benches: Ongoing stories from 11 AM - 4 PM
Black Powder Demonstration: 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM
Readings of the Declaration of Independence: 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM
Join the Continental Army Mini Parade: 11:45 AM and 1:45 PM
Secrets and Spies: 12:30 PM and 2 PM
Carillon Concert: 7:30 PM (Concert is free.)
