Join the American Philosophical Society Museum for a family program, “Shoot for the Stars Eclipse Edition!” APS Education staff will be handing out eclipse viewing glasses* and celebrating the eclipse itself with some space related activities.

Demonstrations of a LightSound device will be available to provide an audible experience of the eclipse.   

The program will take place in the APS Jefferson Garden from 1:30 P.M.-4:00 P.M. and is free and open to the public. 

Please note that photographs or video may be taken by APS staff throughout the event for educational and/or promotional materials.

 Materials provided by National Informal STEM Education (NISE) Network. LightSound device provided by the LightSound Project at Harvard University. 

*While supplies last and only one pair of glasses per person.
