Sat Mar 20, 2021
1:00pm ET
Age: 10 and up
Price: Adults $30; Children & Seniors $20
Location:
St. Paul's Chapel
Big Onion Walking Tours leads this special tour for St. Patrick’s weekend, taking attendees on a guided walk of the former “Little Ireland” district of the Lower East Side while examining the critical role Irish immigrants play in New York City history.
This family-friendly tour explains why St. Patrick’s Day is more popular here than in Ireland. Stops could include: the founding site of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Al Smith’s home, the Five Points, the first Catholic church in the city, and sites associated with Tammany Hall, Thomas Addis Emmet, and many others.
The tour takes about 2 hours. Masks and social distancing are required. Purchase tickets online in advance.
