The Terror of Abbadia Mare Tour at Hammond Castle
- see all dates
Except October 24, 2024.
Hear the spooky story of a doomed investor and his haunted castle in this spine-tingling tour of a grand, old seaside museum. Best for 'tweens and teens.
Guests are invited to step into a one-of-a-kind adventure as John Hays Hammond Jr. comes to life at his medieval castle. Within the castle's darkened corridors, peculiar figures—possibly secret society members or leaders of science and the occult—gather for an evening of mystery.
This immersive promenade theater performance takes audiences through the castle, where they’ll meet characters like Hillman, Hammond’s loyal butler, the eccentric Hammond himself, and his glamorous wife, Irene. The stories, adapted from Hammond’s ghost tales by Doug Cowell, offer a blend of supernatural intrigue and 1920s charm.
The 60-minute experience starts at the drawbridge and moves through the castle, with performances every 15 minutes from 6 pm to 9 pm. Each group is limited to 15 guests, and attendees are encouraged to dress in 1920s-inspired attire.
Timed tickets are required for entry.
