The annual Balboa Island Parade files down Marine Ave. on Sunday with star-spangled floats, festooned tricycles, marching bands, antique cars carrying local dignitaries, fire trucks, Keystone Cops, and gussied-up dogs in the island's biggest event of the summer.

This year's theme is “Balboa Island in Paradise – A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett”

The length of the parade is approximately two and one-half blocks. 

The fun continues with the ‘After Parade Event’ featuring local band Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band, (in front of the Fire Station).
