Great Backyard Bird Count

Sat Feb 18, 2023
Various times
Age: 6+
Price: Free
Come together for the love of birds and be part of a global movement. The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual citizen science event in which people from around the world submit their bird watching data.
For today's special event, take an easy stroll around the property, stop at the bird feeding stations, and count all of the birds you see. Discuss basic field ID and how to use eBird when birding on your own. Once finished observing and counting, submit the data on eBird where scientists at Cornell University and other researchers use it to track bird populations. No birding experience necessary.
- First Session: Grades 6-9, Part of Emerging Ecologists Program 10:30am-12:00pm
- Second Session: Ages 6+, 1:00pm-2:30pm
