The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy on Long Island, NY, presents a series of online programs to celebrate Earth Day 2020.

Guides and educators bring the beauty of the Preserve to you via live Zoom conferences and recorded experiences across the Preserve. Check back through the day to find links to the programs below.

10am Eastern (9am Central, 7am Pacific) – Guided Nature Walk.
Explore the Preserve with Max Goldman, an expert on the magnificent environments here – from the pond to the woods and shoreline overlooking the Long Island Sound.

11am Eastern– Live Meditation from the Preserve with Hildur Palsdottir.
Register for the Zoom meeting in advance.

1pm Eastern – Join the Citizen Science global movement.
Learn to utilize aps that identify and collect useful research data for all living species in your environment, including INaturalist, Merlin Bird ID, among others.

3pm Eastern – Travel the Preserve’s grounds on a private, meditative tour.

5pm Eastern – “Upcycle Landscape” The Port Washington Art Guild presents an art class for children.

8:30pm Eastern – Lights Out!
Residents Forward invites the community to turn off your lights from 8:30 – 8:45 pm Eastern as an act of solidarity to save energy for the good of the earth.
