- see all dates
Except May 11, 2019.
McKinley Park hosts the a four part series to introduce Chicagoans to the wild birds of Chicago. Participants can complete a birding or conservation project to share on the final session.
From the host:
The course will include indoor and outdoor portions. Participants will learn how the Chicago Park District is contributing to bird conservation and how to identify the common resident birds in Chicago, as well as some of the common migrants. In the final session, participants will become bird conservationists, sharing projects from the prior few weeks and polishing their identification of Chicago's most common birds.
Participants should bring binoculars, a notebook, and a field guide if they have one. Participants should meet outside the field housem dress for the weather, and be prepared for muddy feet.
